ROCKLAND — A 44-year-old Friendship woman was arrested Tuesday night after she was accused of threatening to stab a man for no apparent reason.

Valerie L. Nile made her initial court appearance Wednesday afternoon in Rockland District Court on charges of criminal threatening and terrorizing.

According to an affidavit filed by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, a Friendship man called 911 to report that an intoxicated woman was at his home and had threatened to stab him. The man told police that Nile had picked up a large kitchen knife and then put two smaller knives in her socks and threatened him, the police report stated. He told police that he was in fear for his life.

Another woman and two small children also were at the residence during the incident.

Nile denied she had threatened the man. She told the officer that she thought she was going to have a threesome with the man and woman.

Bail was set Wednesday at $250 cash. She remained in jail as of Wednesday afternoon.
