MEXICO — Four men were arrested late Thursday after a year-long investigation during which undercover drug agents bought cocaine from them 10 times, according to Maine Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.

Police charged Wayne Sinclair, 53, of Mexico with two counts of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs; Daniel Allen, 53, of Mexico with three counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs; Darren Joudrey, 51, of Mexico with two counts of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs; and Dana Lee Richardson, 54, of Carthage with one count of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.

Thirty police from several agencies were involved in the arrests and searches of the men’s homes. Police seized drugs, cash scales, packing material and phones, McCausland said.

Over the past year, undercover drug buys took place at several homes and businesses in Rumford and Mexico, including Tommy Guns Pit Stop bar, McCausland said.

The men were taken to the Oxford County Jail, where bail was set at between $3,000 and $7,000 each. They were expected to be arraigned in Oxford County Superior Court on Friday afternoon.
