LEWISTON — The Tree Street Youth Center at 144 Howe St. was flooded Monday night, apparently from a broken water pipe.
Police responded to an alarm at 9:35 p.m. and found water pouring out of the building from the front and side doors.
The Fire Department responded with four trucks. Crews immediately began cleanup operations, using large squeegees to push the water out the doorways.
Police Detective Lee Jones confirmed that the flooding was most likely a broken pipe.
