BETHEL — Kelly Pomerleau poured in 32 points and knocked down four 3-pointers as St. Dom’s (8-8) did away with Telstar, 61-45, in a girls’ basketball game Thursday.

Pomerleau scored 13 of her game-high 32 points in the first quarter as the Rebels took a 30-23 halftime lead.

Faith Grady added another 13 points for St. Dom’s. For Telstar (0-16), Victoria Ryerson scored 12 points and Alyssa Brands added 11.

Rangeley 52, Buckfield 18

RANGELEY — After sprinting out to a commanding 14-point lead in the first quarter, Rangeley kept the scoring machine in gear and raced away to post a 52-18 rout over Buckfield in EWC girls’ action Thursday.

Blayke Morin led the powerhouse Lakers (14-1) with nine points and 11 rebounds, while veteran Taylor Esty chipped in with 11 points. Emina Gunic also contributed with six points and 14 rebounds in a balanced attack.

The Bucks were paced by Naudia Wesley with a seven-point effort.

Pine Tree 44, Hebron 32

FREEPORT — Pine Tree Academy rallied back from a seven-point deficit to post a 44-32 victory over Hebron Academy in a girls’ basketball tilt Thursday.

Kim Emerson led Pine Tree with a game-high 24 points, while Allison Verrill tallied 11 and Becky McGuire added nine.

Hebron was paced by Liv Brown with 18 points, while Atupele Machika chipped in with nine. Pine Tree used a 17-2 run in the second frame to take control of the contest.

Leavitt 50, Winslow 32

TURNER — Leavitt put on its track shoes early, building a 31-9 lead in the first half and sprinting away to a 50-32 win over Winslow in a KVAC girls’ matchup Thursday.

Jenna Cote led the Hornets (13-2) with 12 points, while Bri DeGone added 10. Kristen Anderson continued to recover from her recent injury, added eight points, eight assists and pulled down 10 rebounds.

Winslow was paced by Devin Fitzgibbons with an eight-point effort.
