OXFORD HILLS — After leading only 17-15 at the half, Edward Little exploded in the second half to beat Oxford Hills 60-43 in a boys’ basketball game Tuesday night.
EL was led by Sean Ford’s 20 points, with 12 from Mahad Mohamed, and 10 from Quin Leary. Jake Plummer reached double figures with 10 for the Vikings.
The Eddies took good care of the ball in the final two frames, and that combined with a sharp shooting touch keyed the win.
Gray – NG 59, Greely 48
GRAY — Eleven 3-pointers powered Gray-New Gloucester past Greeley, 59-48, in boys’ basketball Tuesday evening.
The Saints bolted out to a 42-17 half time lead. The Patriots’ Brandon Thibeault hit for 12 points on four conversions from behind the arc. Greeley’s Michael McDevitt led all scorers with 14.
North Haven 62, Rangeley 12
RANGELEY — Hot-shooting North Haven got off to a quick start, building a 39-3 halftime advantage, as the Hawks never looked back and beat Rangeley, 62-12, Tuesday evening.
Avery Waterman’s 20 points included 4 3-pointers as he was the only player in double figures. Nine different players scored for North Haven in a well-rounded effort.
Lewiston 62, Mt. Ararat 38
TOPSHAM — Josh Thomas helped out with 13 points and Steven Patrie added another 10 as Lewiston bounced Mt. Ararat with a 62-38 victory in a boys’ basketball game Tuesday.
The Blue Devils (12-5) moved quickly, building a 29-15 lead at halftime. Lewiston erupted with 18 points in the third quarter.
Mt. Ararat’s (7-10) Shyheim Ulrickson and Mason Griffin each scored 10 points.
Winthrop 52, St. Dom’s 46
AUBURN — Matt Sekarak scored 19 points and Crispin Banda added 14 as Winthrop sidestepped St. Dom’s, 52-46, in a boys’ basketball game Tuesday.
The Saints had the edge in the first half, building a 23-22 edge at halftime. St. Dom’s Nick Hatfield scored 11 points.
But Winthrop’s 20-point surge in the fourth quarter allowed the Ramblers to escape with a victory.
