Area artists Krista Lord, left, Kate Cargile, center, and Jeanelle Demers work on a mural of downtown Lewiston that will be hung in the Lewiston Public Library during a fundraiser for the Art Van Thursday evening. “We wanted to celebrate their home and community through art,” said Louanne Schoninger, development director of Art Van. The Art Van will be having ongoing fundraisers in the communities they serve, hoping to receive a $5,000 matching donation from the Jane B. Cook 1992 Charitable Trust. Along with art projects, the fundraiser Thursday also featured a cupcake tasting.
