1969 – 2013

AUBURN — Angela M. Nadeau, 43, of Lewiston, passed away on Sunday Feb. 10, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice surrounded by her loving family.

She was born at Fort Benning, Ga., on June 29, 1969, the daughter of Donald and Diane (Fortier) Nadeau. She was a young lady with special needs and who gave and received very special love by all who had a chance to be in her company. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, Holy Cross Church. Angela loved thrill rides, especially roller coasters, swimming, puzzles, mahjong, Hallmark Channel, “Little House on the Prairie,” reading, visiting the library, Winter Special Olympics, dancing, listening to music, raspberry iced tea from Dunkin’ Donuts, visiting old friends and making new ones, volunteering at the SPCA, day program at Opportunity Enterprises, playing tricks and making jokes.

To the people at the John Murphy Homes she was a Wonderful, Amazing, Spirited and Wise-Minded young lady. She taught many of them life’s lessons like: be strong, hold your ground, stand up for yourself, don’t let things get in the way of having fun, cherish relationships with others and so much more. Her big personality impacted all of them and they all felt that she was an inspiration to them and that they were blessed and lucky to have known her. Most of all she impacted everyone’s life that she met by making their day with her smiling eyes and contagious laugh.

Angela is survived by her parents: Donald and Diane (Fortier) Nadeau; her brother, Steve Nadeau and his fiancee, Tracy Grondin, of Lewiston; her aunts and uncles, Claire Bergmann of Lewiston, Jean Blanchette and her husband, Richard Blanchette, and family, Nancy Tardif and family, David Nadeau and his wife, Barbara, and son, Pat Hould and her husband, Arthur, and family, Sue Brooks and partner, “Frenchie,” and family, Debbie Colby and husband, Calvin, and family, Pamela Bosse and her husband, Ron, and family, Lorna Hunt and family, and Bruce Nadeau and partner, Karen; her cousins, Liza Morgan and family, Tany Walker and son, Matthew Bergmann, and his wife, Jena, and family, Fred Bergmann, and Heath Bergmann and his wife, Lynze, and children.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Marguerite and Robert Fortier, and Lionel and Evelyn Nadeau; her aunt, Christine Smith; and uncle, Paul Nadeau.
