LEWISTON — Marion P. (Allen) Gardiner, 84, of Bowdoinham Road, Sabattus passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Feb. 10, at Central Maine Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was born March 29, 1928, to Raymond and Florence (Harding) Allen and attended schools in Lisbon Falls, graduating from Lisbon High School. On Nov. 16, 1948, she married John Gardiner.

Marion had worked at different jobs throughout the years from telephone operator to child care.

She is survived by daughter-in-law, Pam of Sabattus; grandson, Justin of Jay; granddaughters, Robyn and her companion, Travis, and Kimberly and her companion, Myrond; three great grandsons, Devin, Zach, and Joe; three great-granddaughters, Ashley and husband, Chris, Amber and Brianna;and a great-great-granddaughter, Cadence, all of Bucksport; as well as two sisters-in-law, Helen Gardiner of Mapleton and Mildred Allen of Topsham; a very special great-niece, Julie Abbot of Porter; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, John, on May 22, 2006; her son, Bill, on Jan. 2; sister, Mabel; and brother, Harold.
