PORTLAND — “Big Mouth Thunder Thighs,” a one-woman vaudeville performance by Bess Welden, is about body and food, intertwined with storytelling and a variety show of roller skating, song, dance, poetry, jokes and five heart-stopping “Death Defying Acts.” The show, directed by Jennie Hanh, is a deeply personal, highly entertaining, and surprisingly funny look at what it takes to accept yourself.

The show will run for seven performances, Feb. 14 through March 9, at Portland Stage Company, 25A Forest Ave. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased by phone at 207-774-0465 or online at portlandstage.org. For more information, visit BigMouthThunderThighs.com.
