1927 – 2013
WEST POLAND — Lorene Leah Edwards, 85, of West Poland, went to be with her husband and loved ones in heaven on Feb. 12 at her home.
She was born in West Poland on July 14, 1927, the daughter of Silas and Junie Strout. She married Lovell H. Edwards on Sept. 30, 1954.
Lorene’s most important passion in life was caring, loving and comforting her whole family. She was the woman everyone knew as always having a twinkle in her eyes and a smile on her face.
She enjoyed reading and cooking, and she was famous for her homemade biscuits.
She is survived by her six children, Peter, and wife, Nancy, Dawn Edwards, Randy Edwards, Kerry, and wife, Brenda, Rick Edwards, and Heidi and husband, Steve Vining; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Lovell Edwards; three sisters, Louise, Ada and Florence; and two brothers, Asa and Forrest.
A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, Feb.17, at 4 p.m. at The American Legion Post 150 in Mechanic Falls.
