LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, following closing prayers, at The Fortin Funeral Home, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with the Rev. Lionel Chouinard officiating.

Scripture readings and Prayer of the Faithful were done by Angela’s Aunt, Claire Bergmann. Offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Lynne Fuller, Diane McDougall and Sally Weatherspoon. Words of remembrance were shared at the end of the Mass by Michelle Borden. Committal services were held immediately afterwards at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Casket bearers were all young ladies from The Murphy Homes Staff. They were Leann Beaulieu, Michelle Borden, Alice Moras, Tasha Lemay, Peggy Gagne and Lacie Murtha.

At the end of the committal, everyone exited the Mausoleum Chapel to the song “The Circle of Life” from the movie and play “The Lion King.”

The theme of the day was “Pink,” her absolutely favorite color. Her flowers, memorial cards, the signs at the funeral parlor and even her casket were pink. Everyone at the funeral wore pink in her honor, therefore, it was only appropriate that the ceremony ended with a pink balloon release symbolizing her ascension to Heaven.
