I live in Lewiston. I babysit a group of kids after school. Recently, they all worked really hard and made an amazing snowman. They were all so proud of it.
Just a few hours later someone had taken the head off and now it is nowhere to be found. The scarf, hat, buttons and a pipe — all gone.
That is not the first time something like that has happened. For Halloween, we made a scarecrow and the head was taken and smashed.
It breaks my heart to know some punks are getting joy out of destroying the kids’ work, and it is breaking my kid’s heart. She is only 5, and those kinds of things break her spirit.
It is driving me crazy.
