NORWAY — The Stone-Smart American Legion Auxiliary held their January meeting with president Thelma Denlinger presiding.

Donations were voted on for Androscoggin Home Health, Long Creek Youth Center and Togus for Care and Share.

The National Presidents Scholarship will benefit fifth and sixth graders at Guy E. Rowe School again this year.

Marie Pingree reported on her visits to members who cannot get out to meetings.

Veterans who had birthdays in December at Western Maine Veterans Home were given presents.

The Unit will raise money to help Beals House at Togus.

Co-chairs Barbara Henley and Rose Moulton will look into what can be done to raise funds to help veterans and their families.

The meeting was preceded by soup, chili and chowder and sandwiches prepared by Henley and Moulton.
