As I was reading the Sun Journal Feb. 13, I noticed the rebuttal letter to the editor by David Churchill, “Get ethanol out of gasoline.”

The more I read, I realized that I didn’t know all that was going on with ethanol. The biggest thing was that not all gas stations in all the states are using ethanol in gasoline.

Why are they not all using ethanol in their gasoline?

Then, reading even more, I noticed that many ethanol plants have closed down due to the fact that it cost too much to produce.

So, the folks in Washington are backing, with the taxpayers’ money, something that does not work.

Seeing that ethanol in gasoline is not good for engines, costs too much to produce and, in general, is not wanted, officials in Washington should mandate that ethanol be removed from gasoline.
