SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Air Force Airman Juston W. Forbes and Air Force Airman Danielle A. Patrie graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Forbes is the son of Tina Forbes of Auburn, and grandson of Carole Boudreau of Belgrade. He is a 2011 graduate of Edward Little High School, Auburn.

Patrie is the daughter of Andrew Patrie of Cary Hill Road, Hartford, and Buffy Ward of Maple Acres, Waterford.

She is a 2012 graduate of Buckfield Junior/Senior High School.

READFIELD/LISBON FALLS — Army Sgt. Casey J. Leimbach and Army Staff Sgt. Bryon K. Moss have returned to the U.S. after being deployed overseas at a forward operating base to serve in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Operation Enduring Freedom is the official name given to anti-terrorism military operations involving U.S. troops and allied coalition partners. Active duty and reserve component members from all branches of the U.S. armed forces have been deployed to support the war against global terrorism outside the borders of the United States. U.S. troops serve in South, Southwest and Central Asia, the Arabian peninsula, the Horn of Africa, islands in the Pacific and Europe.

Leimbach is a fire team leader assigned to the 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. He has served in the military for six years. He is the son of Gregory and Lydia Leimbach of Readfield. The sergeant is a 2006 graduate of Maranacook Community High School, Readfield.

Moss is an automations noncommissioned officer-in-charge assigned to the 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. He has served in the military for six years. He is the son of Victor Moss of Sullivan, Mo., and Debbie Barry of Lisbon Falls. The sergeant is a 2000 graduate of Lisbon High School. He received an associate degree in 2012 from Central Texas College, Killeen.

WAYNESVILLE, Mo. — Army Pvt. Justin M. Edwards has graduated from One Station Unit Training at Fort Leonard Wood, which included basic military training and advanced individual training.

During basic military training, the trainee received instruction in drill and ceremony, weapons qualification, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid and Army doctrine, history, principles and traditions.

During AIT, the soldier completed the military police specialist course to acquire skills to provide combat area support, conduct battlefield circulation control, area security, prisoner of war operations, civilian internee operations and law and order operations.

Edwards is the son of George and Tammy Edwards of Lewiston.
