SABATTUS — On Dec. 16, the Worthy Matron of Lakeside Chapter 60, Order of the Eastern Star Sonia Woodrum and secretary Violet Gerber visited with Life Member Sister Thelda Dobbins at her home. She was presented with an 80-year pin in celebration of her accomplishment of completing 80 years as a member of the Eastern Star.
Dobbins joined Pioneer Chapter 11 in Lisbon Falls on Nov. 21, 1932. After she moved to Sabattus, she joined Lakeside Chapter 60 on May 10, 1943.
She is one of a small number of ladies to accomplish 80 years in the Order. Lakeside is proud of her accomplishment.
