AUBURN — The Lewiston Auburn Film Festival will host its annual Sneak Preview from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 1 at the Hilton Garden Inn along with a silent auction.

As a special treat, the world premiere of a music video, “LAFF Get it Started” will be shown. Using The Black Eyed Peas’ song “Let’s Get it Started,” the LAFF team has been videotaping residents, students and business owners in various scenarios, singing and dancing along. The video is a “must-see” for anybody who enjoys seeing people they know acting foolish in front of the camera, said LAFF organizers.

“This is a great chance for those people who have already bought their tickets to the festival to begin to figure out what movies they want to watch in April, and it allows those people who may still be considering attending a chance to get a look at the variety and quality of film we’re offering this year,” said festival chairperson Sandra Marquis.

The slate of this year’s films has drastically improved, both in quality and star power compared to previous years. Many of the films featured have won awards at other festivals, both in the U.S. and across the world. Several also star well-known actors such as Ed Asner, Lily Tomlin, James Cromwell, Karen Black and more.

“There really is something for everyone at this year’s festival,” said Marquis. “Whether you love comedies, period pieces, documentaries, romance or anything in between, we have a slate of amazing films that even the most casual film fan will enjoy.”

Along with the previews, music video and silent auction, those in attendance will be treated to complementary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. This event is open to the public. The Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch is located at 14 Great Falls Plaza.
