POLAND — Fred and Linda Morton of Poland are announcing the engagement of their son, Seth Michael Morton, to Elizabeth Ruth Essinger-Hileman, daughter of Doug and Sandy Essinger-Hileman of Glen Mills, Pa.

The future bride is a 2004 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School in Uniontown, Pa., and a 2008 graduate of the University of New Haven with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and forensic science. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in chemistry at Penn State University.

The future bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He received his doctorate in 2012 from Penn State University in the field of theoretical chemistry and is employed at Intel Corp. in Hillsboro, Ore.

The wedding will be held in September in Gray.
