BRUNSWICK — Carl E. Wallace, 82, of 30 Water St., died Saturday, Feb. 23, at his home.
He was born in Phippsburg, Aug. 5, 1930, the son of Niles L. and Dora V. Wallace. He attended West Point School in Phippsburg. Mr. Wallace married Beverly L. Beal in Bowdoin in September 1957.
He had been a clammer and commercial fisherman. He later worked as a textile worker at Worumbo Mill and was employed at Keena Corp. in Brunswick, until retiring in 1996.
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace lived in Lisbon Falls, until moving here in 2011.
He was a member of the Lisbon Falls Fire Department in the early 1970s. A considerate and helpful man he loved fishing, hunting, being outdoors and collecting bottles in his little red wagon from Durham to Freeport.
He is survived by his wife of Brunswick; a son, Eugene C. Wallace and his wife, Josephine, of Topsham; two grandchildren, Nicholas C. Wallace and his fiancee, Sarah Hills and Sabrina L. Wallace; a great-grandson, Elijah N.H. Wallace; and several nieces and nephews.
