PORTLAND — Iris F. Osgood, 71, of Bridgton passed away suddenly on Feb. 22, at Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Bridgton, Jan. 2, 1942, the daughter of Edward and Ruth Powers Robbins. A lifelong resident of Bridgton, she graduated from Bridgton High School in 1960, and married her long-time sweetheart, William L. Osgood, Oct. 13, 1962.

She was a member of the Bridgton Jaycee’s and in 1968, she was crowned Bicentennial Queen. She worked at Sebago Moc and Pleasant Mountain Moc for more than 30 years and retired in 2000. She enjoyed ATV’ing, outdoor activities and spending time with her grandchildren.

She and her husband, Bill, founded the Lakes Region ATV Club, where Bill served as president and she served as secretary for many years. During her retirement, she enjoyed working on her computer, creating gift cards, staying in touch with family and friends on Facebook, reading, watching movies and playing cribbage on Tuesday nights at the Magic Lantern in Bridgton. She regularly attended the Denmark Congregational Church with officiating Pastor John Patrick.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Sinclair and her husband, Bobby and their two children, Alec and Taylor, all of Lewiston and Amy Scott and her two children, Logan and Tucker, all of Windham; her brother, Robert “Bob” Robbins and his wife, Ann; two sisters, Edeena Barker and Judy Brown and her husband, Dan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Bill in 2010, after 47 years of marriage; her parents, Edward and Ruth Robbins; her brothers, Bruce Robbins, Everett Robbins, Maurice Robbins and David Robbins; and her sister, Mary Eva Gray.
