WEST PARIS — Leo Francis Nadeau, native of Bangor, passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, at Ledgeview Living Center.

Leo was born March 31, 1941, the son of Alcide and Jacqueline (Cox) Nadeau.

He was a former resident of Phoenix and Mesa, Ariz., for the past 40 years. He came to Maine to spend the remainder of his days with his sister Mary Lou Hallee and her husband, Richard of Norway and his brother Jerry Nadeau of Sebago.

Leo died due to complication with ALS. He was a graduate of John Bapst High School of 1959 and Fullerton Junior College of 1968, and California College of Fullerton, Class of 1970. He also served in the Air National Guard out of Maine and New Hampshire.

He is survived by his daughter, Lynette Nadeau Amarillo of Applegate, Ore.; his granddaughter, Chantel Amarillo of Elmhurst, N.Y.; his son, Leo Dirk Nadeau of Nashua, N.H.; his grandson, Hunter West Nadeau of Nashua, N.H.; sister, Mary Lou Hallee and her husband, Richard, of Norway; brother, Jerry Nadeau of Sebago; several nieces and nephews; his very special grandnephew, Logan P. Hallee of Harrison; and his “huggie girls,” grandnieces, Katherine and Elizabeth Hallee of Harrison.

A very special thank-you to all his caregivers from Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice and the staff at Ledgeview Living Center in West Paris. You are the best. He could not have received better care anywhere.
