1932 – 2013

EAST ANDOVER — Margaret A. “Maggie” Farrington, 81, of Farmers Hill Road in East Andover, passed away on Thursday Feb. 28, at her residence with family at her side, following a brief illness.

She was born in Rumford on Jan. 26, 1932, a daughter of Josiah F. and Dorothy V. (Leach) Hall.

Maggie was educated in Rumford schools. She married James Mervin Farrington on March 2, 1951. Together they celebrated 31 years of marriage; he passed away on April 2, 1982.

Maggie enjoyed quilting, gardening, puzzles, bird watching and reading.

Surviving are her children; Peter Farrington and wife, Colleen, of East Andover, Stephen Farrington and companion, Linda Desjardins, of Rumford, Robert Farrington and companion, Jill McDonald, of Rumford, Rachel Dickson and husband, Peter, of Freeport, and Toby Farrington and wife, Micky, of Panama City, Fla.; three sisters, Josephine, Edith and Elizabeth; a brother, Robert; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Dorothy and Ruth.
