SOUTH PARIS — Leslie H. Scribner, 81, of South Paris, passed away Sunday, March 3, at Androscoggin Hospice House.
He was born at home on Paris Hill, March 6 1931, the son of Herbert and Mary Scribner. Leslie was educated at Paris Hill School and South Paris High School.
On Jan. 31, 1948, he married Kathleen Scribner. He worked at several jobs in the area. Leslie helped build Route 26 by Snow Falls, worked 18 years for the town of Paris Highway Department and retired from C.B. Cummings as a tractor trailer driver.
He enjoyed hunting, especially with his sons while they were growing up, fishing and gardening. He was a man of a few words but had a big heart for family.
We will think of you in the winter, when you used to plow the snow. We will think of you in the spring with the robins and the lawns to mow. We will think of you in the summer with gardens and picnics at King Hill. We will think of you in the fall with deer season and winter wood piles.
Our memories of you will last always.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his sister, Georgia Millett and husband, Linton, of Scarborough; his children, Patricia Scribner of Skowhegan, Leslie Lee Scribner and wife, Kathy, of Fayette, Bernard Scribner and companion, Jacqui O’Brien, of South Paris, Roger Scribner and wife, Rhonda, of Sumner, Don Scribner of Lewiston, Cindy Scribner, NP and husband, Dr. Larry Hopperstead, of Lewiston, Carol Hall and husband, Neil, of Magalloway Plantation, Cathy Scribner of South Paris, and Brian Scribner and wife, Sharon, of West Paris; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

At rest at last, you have earned it. We love you and will miss you.
