RUMFORD — The officers and members of Le Paresseux Club invite all to attend their annual St. Patrick’s Outing on March 16 and 17 at their club, 227 Waldo St.
On Saturday, March 16, the club will open at 1 p.m. The Fraternal Union Meeting will be held at 2 p.m. A corned beef and ham supper, including potatoes, cabbage, carrots, turnip, etc, will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. The cost is $8 per person, $4 12 and under.
From 7 to 11 p.m. will be a dance to the music of Jamie & Gary Band.
On Sunday, March 17, the parade will line up at 9 a.m. in front of Thibeault Funeral Home, Penobscot Street. Members who cannot march may ride in cars with the club name on the side of the car. Cars will follow behind the marching units.
At 9:10 a.m. the parade departs for Mass, which will be held at 9:30 a.m. at Parish of The Holy Savior (St. Athanasius-St. John) Church.
At 10:20 the parade will reassemble to proceed to the club.
A meat loaf dinner will be held at noon at the club. Cost is $4 per person, $2 for 12 years and under. Parade awards will be given out at 2 p.m.
All King, Queen, Prince and Princess from the 2013 International Snowshoe Championship held in Manchester, N.H., are welcome to take part in the parade and will be escorted as a group into the church.
Awards will be given for drum corps, color guard and most numerous from the United States and Canada.
