NORWAY — Louise H. Guilford, 71, of Norway, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the Norway Rehab. and Living Center.
She was born in Claremont, N.H., Dec. 26, 1941, daughter of the late Alexander and Margaret (Stevens) Bailey of Turner. She got her GED from Oxford Hills High School in 1992, which she called one of her greatest accomplishments, aside from her children.
As a young woman, she was employed by Barjo’s Restaurant in Norway, later working at the Bridgton Knitting Mill for years. Then later in life, she went into the home health care profession, receiving many certificates, mostly working in the Lewiston and Auburn areas.
She loved crocheting and doing word finds. She also enjoyed the love of her family and many friends. She had many pets, but one that took her heart was her Pekingese, Snuggles.
She is survived by her son, Scott Perry and companion, Linda Richards, of South Paris; daughters, Debra Perry and companion, Curtis McAlister, of Norway and Diana Lufkin and husband, Merle, of Peru; and many family members.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Guilford Sr.; and granddaughter, Jill Aileen Millett.
