PORTLAND — New England Celtic Arts will present Jason MacDonald with Anita MacDonald, and Adam Young at St. Lawrence Arts in Portland on Tuesday
March 19; at Skye Theatre Performing Arts Center in South Carthage on Wednesday, March 20; and at UCCPA in Unity on Thursday, March 21. Curtain is 7 p.m. and a jam session will start at 6 p.m.

Jason MacDonald’s passion for music plays out in a driving acoustic fashion with energy, wonderful storytelling and a warm personality that connects immediately with his audience.

Anita MacDonald is an accomplished musician, dancer, and Gaelic singer from Little Narrows, Cape Breton. She began step-dancing at age four and has wowed audiences with her impeccable timing and neatly choreographed steps. Anita’s fiddle playing has a distinctive sound
that comes from her influences and variations on tunes that she has learned over the years from her musical family and teachers.

Adam Young accompanies on piano and continues the tradition of the energetic, yet haunting Cape Breton-style piano. Young’s playing harmonizes with the guitar, fiddle and vocals and also provides the driving dance rhythms necessary for step dancing.

St. Lawrence Arts is at 76 Congress Street Portland. Skye Theater is at 2 Highland Drive off Winter Hill Rd. and U.S. Rt. 2 in South Carthage. UCCPA is at 42 Depot Street in Unity.
