He was born in Lewiston, July 24, 1924, the son of Pierre and Edna Brochu Morin. Educated in local schools, he was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1942, and also graduated from Acme Business School.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater. Following the war, he returned to Lewiston and married the former Lorraine Tardif, who passed away on Dec. 26, 2003.

He worked for several years at New England Furniture Co. and Northern Utilities, and in 1961, he was hired as an assistant manager at Ste. Croix Parish Federal Credit Union. He retired from the credit union in 1987 as president and CEO.

A former member of St. Mary’s Parish, he was also active in Rotary International, was a past president of the Central Maine Chapter of Credit Unions, and several other professional organizations.

Survivors include two sisters, Jacqueline Tuttle of Poland and Sandra Morin of Buckeye, Ariz.; eight nieces and nephews, Michael R. Morin, Steven Morin, Linda Morin, James Morin, Carol Desjardins, Rachel Morin, Randall Morin and Bruce Tuttle; and numerous great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother, H. Milton Morin.
