FARMINGTON — A Summer Scrub Club Camp, hosted by the Franklin Community Health Network, will take place June 24 to 27 at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

The camp, held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, is designed to introduce participants to a variety of careers available in health care. It is open to all students who will be entering grades eight to 12, and registrations are being accepted.

A sampling of careers explored may include physical therapy and sports medicine, nursing, pharmacy, radiology, anesthesiology, cardiopulmonary, orthopedics, medical lab science, mental health counseling and emergency medical services.

Campers will have the opportunity to participate in unique hands-on activities and demonstrations such as X-ray interpretation, casting, suturing, prostheses, lab analysis and emergency response to a mock accident. All campers will receive certification in Heartsaver CPR.
