WELD — Allan Spence Frederick, 75, of Weld, passed away Saturday, March 9, at his home.

He was born in Newton, Mass., Sept. 16, 1937, the son of Hugh D. and Margaret Spence Frederick. He graduated from Wellesley High School in 1955 and then went to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force in Panama as an air traffic controller.

Allan raised three sons while working for E. Indresano Oil Co. as an oil burner technician and service manager. Semi retiring in 1994, he moved to Maine with his wife, Carol (Hillis)(Copp) Frederick, whom he had married on Feb. 28, 1981. He then purchased Doug Swan Mini Backhoe Service and enjoyed self-employment, before retiring completely in 2010.

He enjoyed camp, yacht club and snowmobiling.

Allan is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carol; three sons, James Frederick and his wife, Patricia, of Auburn, Mass., John Frederick and his wife, Patricia, of Dover, N.H., and Jeffrey Frederick of Milford, Mass.; six grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Matthew, Olivia, Spence and Ryan; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents; and his baby sister, Nancy.
