Pinewood Derby at St. Rose

JAY — A Pinewood Derby event will be held Saturday, March 16, at the St. Rose Parish Hall. The event starts at 11 a.m. and goes until everyone has raced and awards are presented. The event is open to the public.

There will be pizza, hot dogs and other refreshments available with proceeds benefiting the Pack.

St. Patrick’s Day dinner March 16

RANGELEY — A St. Patrick’s Day dinner will be served from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at Church of the Good Shepherd, 2614 Main St.

Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children under 13. Menu includes corned beef and cabbage, potatoes, carrots and onions, grapenut pudding, coffee, tea, milk or shamrock punch.

Program: moths, butterflies

FARMINGTON — “The Secret Lives of Moths and Butterflies,” is the title of a presentation which will be given by Loraine Norton at the upcoming meeting of the Mt. Blue Area Garden Club at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 19.

Members and guests will meet at the Trinity United Methodist Church on the Farmington Falls Road at 12:30 for a social half hour, and to enjoy finger foods and beverages before the talk. Hostesses will be Mary Green, Debbie Bujnocki and Carol Chase.

Cabin Fever Reliever benefit

LIVERMORE FALLS — A Cabin Fever Reliever benefit for the Paper Museum will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Murray Hall. Admission is $2 for adults and children are free.

Lots of food, vendors and therapy dogs are just a few of the things happening. Vendor tables are also available for $10. Space is limited.
