LEWISTON — Jeannette R. Plourde, 72, of Lewiston, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 9, at her residence.

She was born in Lewiston, March 28, 1940, the daughter of the late Henry V. Sr. and Lillianne (Arsenault) Dupuis and had been a resident of this community all her life.

She was employed for many years as a stitcher in the local shoe industry and later employed in the printing industry, working at Veribest Printing and retiring from One-Right Printing in 1992.

Jeannette enjoyed playing cards, camping, listening and playing music and most of all loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Carlton J. Plourde, whom she married on May 1, 1982 of Lewiston; one son, Persey Morin Jr. of Lewiston; one daughter, Joline Morin and her longtime partner, Barbie Griffin, of Augusta; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Jamie and Joshua Morin and Ryan Mason; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Morin, Jordan Pollock and Anthony and Ethan Kubicek; one brother, Henry Dupuis Jr. of Lisbon; two sisters, Lauraine Dupuis and her longtime partner, Beverly Dale, of Augusta and Lucille Coleman and her husband, Lewis, of Irmo, S.C.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents; one sister, Joan Prince; and one great-granddaughter, Ella Morin.
