LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will host a seminar, The Basics of OSHA, What You Know Will Help You,” from 8-11 a.m. March 27.

The seminar will be presented by Brian Sullivan, compliance assistance, U.S. Department of Labor/OSHA, and Ann Torregrossa, associate at Brann & Isaacson, whose practice focuses on municipal and employment law and civil litigation.

The seminar will present an overview of OSHA, how it began, employer and employee rights, inspections, how OSHA determines fines and penalties, where/how employees get hurt, hazards/industries that OSHA focuses on, and how small employers can get free help from the state of Maine OSHA, among other topics.
