FARMINGTON — Nancy Elizabeth Corriveau, 72, a resident of Canton, died March 11, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 9, 1940, in Berlin, N.H., the daughter George and Rachel (York) DeCoster. She grew up in Gilead and graduated from Gould Academy in 1958. In 1959, she married her husband, Denis Corriveau Sr. She later returned to school at the Berlin Vocational Tech and earned her LPN in 1970.

She was a nurse for many years at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. She later moved to Canton to care for her ailing relatives. For several years, she worked at the Victorian Villa in Canton, where she was the activities director. She enjoyed doing crafts, especially crocheting. She loved playing bingo and visiting with her bingo friends.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Denis Corriveau Sr. of Canton; her son, Denis Corriveau Jr. and his wife, Michelle, of Jay; her daughter, Katherine Thompson and husband, Andrew, of Oxford; four grandchildren, Kyra, Sylvia, Brittany and Bronson; a very special cousin, Betty; and dear friend, Margaret.

She was predeceased by her parents, George and Rachel DeCoster; and a brother, George DeCoster.

Nancy was a caring person who always put others before herself. She will be sadly missed.
