AUBURN — Theresa B. Letourneau, 88, of Lewiston, died Saturday, March 16, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin, following a short illness.
She was born in Albany, N.Y., on Aug. 28, 1924, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Turmel) Belanger, and had been a resident of this community since 1933.
She was employed as a grader in the local textile industry. She was proud to be a CCD teacher for eight years at Saints Peter & Paul Parish. Theresa enjoyed playing beano and cards and had shared the same interests with her many friends. She was a parishioner of the Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul and was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne.
She is survived by one sister, Rita B. Fortier of Lewiston; one brother, Gerard “Gerry” R. Belanger and his wife, Sylvia of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred “Pete” Letourneau, whom she was married to for over 40 years; and by two brothers, Gerard A. Belanger and Paul E. Belanger.
