AUBURN — Romeo R. Breton, 72, of Lewiston, passed away Tuesday, March 19, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, after a short illness.
He was born in Lewiston, May 21, 1940, son of the late Napoleon and Alma Samson Breton. He was educated in Lewiston schools and was married April 11, 1964 to Vera May, who predeceased him July 15, 1998.
Romeo was an accomplished baker and worked at Bates College for many years. He enjoyed making people happy.
He is survived by a daughter, Joyce Dubovy of Lewiston; a son, Michael R. Breton of Lewiston; four grandchildren, Tanya Panula, Erica Springer, Shawn Breton and Sarah Breton; seven great-grandchildren; his loving companion, Judith Kilgore of Lewiston; and three brothers, Marcel Breton of Lewiston, Francis Breton and wife, Janette, of Auburn and Roger Breton and wife, Rolande, of Lewiston.
He was predeceased by Alice (infant daughter); and four brothers, Edgar, Edward, Robert and Jerry Breton.
