LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will host a Brown Bag Discussion, “Federal and State Resources for Small Businesses,” April 3.

It will be held from noon to 1:15 p.m. at the chamber, 415 Lisbon St., Lewiston.

The program will appeal to those who want to increase their business revenues and to make sure a business is operating at optimum efficiency, as well as to those who would like to learn about state and federal programs that are available to help a business.

Presenters will include Bill Card from the U.S. Small Business Administration and Brian Doyle, the governor’s account executive at the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development. Card will provide a briefing on SBA programs, including access to capital, access to counseling and access to federal grants. He will also provide contact information for local service providers. Doyle will provide a briefing about state resources to help small businesses and provide insight/advocacy in navigating through the state agency network.
