CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Geraldine Bouchard Cyr, 70, of Huntersville, N.C., passed away March 20, at Presbyterian Hospital.

She was born March 7, 1943, in Lewiston, the daughter of the late Anna Olehowski Latham (her late husband, Robert Latham) and the late Gerard E. Bouchard Sr. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1961. Residing in Maine for nine more years, she married Ronald W. Cyr in 1963. They relocated to New Hampshire and lived briefly in Dover, where their daughter, Jennifer was born. The family settled in Merrimack in 1973, where she would reside for 35 years.

She worked as an office manager at Career Connections for 22 years. Upon her retirement in 2008, she relocated with her husband, Ron, to Huntersville, N.C., to be closer to their daughter and enjoy their retirement.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ronald W. Cyr; daughter, Jennifer A. Cyr of Concord, N.C.; her sisters, Barbara Plummer of Falmouth, Betty Blalock of Ada, Okla., and Nancy Brock of Konowa, Okla.; her brother, David Latham of Bradford, N.H.; and she leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was kind, loyal and generous. She loved her family and friends unconditionally. She will be missed.
