PARIS — Two Paris selectmen elected last year to replacing resigning former selectmen are up for re-election this year.
Chairman Sam Elliot was elected to replace Selectman Kenneth West last year. Citing his workload, West resigned with a year left on his term. Selectmen Robert Wessels won last year in a special election, replacing Selectman Ted Kurtz, who also resigned with a year to go.
According to Town Clerk Elizabeth Knox, several are interested in a seat on the Board of Selectmen. Janet Jamison, who has been on the board before, has taken out papers, as have Michael Risica and Brian Landis.
On the SAD 17 School Board, Michael Dignan is up for re-election.
Nomination papers for Paris seats are available at the Town Office and are due back April 26.
In Oxford, Selectmen Scott Owens and Jay Goforth are up for re-election. On the Water District Board, Thomas Kennison is up for re-election, and on the School Board, Olive Sanborn and Ron Kugell, who chairs the School Board, are up.
Nomination papers for Oxford are available at the Town Office and are due back April 29.
