AUBURN — The Lewiston CareerCenter will participate in the 10th annual Androscoggin County Job Fair on Friday.
It will be held from 9 a.m. to noon April 5 at Central Maine Community College, 1250 Turner St., Auburn. Forty-five employers will participate.
Two organizations are offering free transportation for veterans from Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties. Veterans may contact Community Concepts at 1-800-866-5588 48 hours in advance to arrange a ride. Veterans from Franklin County can also contact Western Maine Transportation at 1-800-393-9335 to make a reservation for transportation.
The employers recruiting for open positions include: the Academy of Medical Professions, ADECCO, Androscoggin Bank, Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, Argo Marketing Group, Assistance Plus, Auburn Police Department, Bates College, Becket Family of Services, BONNEY Staffing Center and Buffalo Wild Wings.

Attendees should bring a resume and should be prepared to have an “interview-like” conversation with employers to discuss skills, knowledge areas and abilities. Job seekers should also be dressed for an interview.
CareerCenters, part of the Maine Department of Labor, offer a variety of workshops and services to help people find employment or upgrade skills. Each center provides several public-access computer workstations with Microsoft Office software, resume writing and cover letter software, Internet access and O’Net software for skills assessment. All CareerCenter services are free of charge.
