JAY — A proposed $6 million municipal budget will be put before voters at the polls from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 11 at the Town Office.

The 2013-14 proposal reflects a $210,305.06 decrease from the current budget.

Selectmen and the Budget Committee reviewed the budget last week. Selectmen voted to approve it and take it to voters, Town Manager Ruth Cushman said Tuesday.

A public hearing on the proposal and a proposed consumer fireworks ordinance will be held at 6 p.m. April 29 in the library at the Spruce Mountain High School in Jay.
