PORTLAND — “Vive la France!” is a program celebrating the delights of love, youth, food and drink, and will be sung by Renaissance Voices at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 11 at Williston-Immanuel United Church, 156 High Street. The 21-voice a cappella ensemble under the direction of Harold Stover, will present music written over six centuries by eight French composers including Jannequin, Gevaert, Debussy and Mark Sirett.

The group has been performing throughout Maine since 1994 and has sung live on Maine Public Radio. Stover, an internationally known organist and distinguished composer, has led the group since 2000.

Admission is $15 at the door. Discount tickets at $12 will be available in advance at Starbird Music or Longfellow Books in Portland and at Book Review in Falmouth or online through May 10 at www.renaissancevoices.org.
