LEWISTON — Raymond G. Marshall, 84, of Field Avenue, Auburn, passed away Thursday, April 4, at Montello Manor.

He was born in Lewiston, Nov. 19, 1928, son of the late Howard E. and Frieda Foster Marshall. He was educated in Auburn schools, graduating from Edward Little High School in 1948 and was on the reunion committee for many years.

Ray served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He leaves his devoted wife, Patricia Jackson. Ray had been employed at the former Berry Paper Co. and later at Bill Higgins Office Equipment until his retirement in 1996.

He was a member of Court Street Baptist Church, Tranquil Lodge 29 AF&AM, Scottish Rite Androscoggin Valley, Shriners, Arab Patrol, where he served as treasurer for 30 years, Consistory Valley of Portland, Androscoggin Square and Compass Club, and American Legion Post 31. He enjoyed camping with NAFCA Pine Tree Chapter and the Good Sam Club Pine Tree Gypsies.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia of Auburn; a daughter, Julie Ann Marshall a/k/a Lorelei Greenwood Jones and husband, Travis, of Mechanic Falls; two sons, Mark E. Marshall of Saco and Gordon W. Marshall of Auburn; six grandchildren, Ryan, Elyssa, Carter, Jackson, Daniel and Ian; four great-grandchildren, Liam, Alexis, Gavin and Callan; and a brother, Roger W. Mashall and wife, Natalie, of Hartford.

He was predeceased by a sister, Frances Grant; and two brothers, Richard and Philip Marshall.
