LEWISTON — School Committee, 6:45 p.m. Dingley Building, committee scheduled to vote on the proposed school budget, following vote it will go to City Council, then to voters May 14. Superintendent Bill Webster is proposing a budget that would raise property taxes $72 for a home valued at $150.000.
TUESDAY, APRIL 9
LEWISTON — 10th annual chili and chowder challenge, with chili and chowder prepared by local chefs, $10 per person, to benefit Longley Elementary School, Ramada Inn and Conference Center, doors open at 5:30 p.m.
AUBURN — Planning Board, 6 p.m. Auburn Hall. Topic is a site plan application for a rooftop cellphone antenna array at 74 Lake Auburn Ave.
LEWISTON — City Council budget workshop, 6 p.m City Hall. Reviewing proposed budgets for Lewiston Public Library, police, drug forfeitures, TIF districts and Community Development Block Grants.
