In the “Fairy Garden Handbook,” available April 13, through Down East Books,” Camden author Liza Gardner Walsh brings this magical world to life in a friendly, easy-to-follow how-to book for parents and kids that combines a love of gardening and fairy lore.

The book is filled with basic information for beginning gardeners working with gardens of any size, from container gardening to urban areas, to rock and water gardens in larger yards, according to information from the publisher.

Liza Gardner Walsh is also author of the “Fairy House Handbook.” She has worked as a children’s librarian, a  high school English teacher, a writing tutor, and a museum educator and holds a MFA in writing from Vermont College. She is married and has two daughters.
