Maine-based Lazy Lightning will pay tribute to the Grateful Dead at 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 19 at the Franco-American Heritage Center by recreating the September 6, 1980 Grateful Dead concert that was performed at the Lewiston Fairgrounds. Lazy Lightning has been performing the Dead’s music for nearly 20 years. Louis Morin, who is not only the Franco Center’s executive director, is also Lazy Lightning’s bass player. Morin, who said he is not being paid for this performance, took over on bass in 2010. Other band members include guitarists Rodney Sturdee and Doug Emery, drummer Jeff Glidden, and keyboard player Jeff Merrow. The three-and-a-half-hour show will have an intermission mid way through the concert. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. The Center is at Oxford St., Lewiston.
