BERWICK — Authorities say a special education teacher in Maine has died in a head-on collision.
Amy Harris, who worked at Vivian E. Hussey School in Berwick, died. Police said her children, ages 7 and 4, were taken to a hospital with injuries.
The Portsmouth Herald reports (http://bit.ly/10SXB7J) police said a car driven by a 17-year-old Berwick Academy student was heading south on Route 4 and apparently crossed over into the northbound lane Wednesday morning.
School officials said there will be no school on Thursday at Hussey or Knowlton schools.
The other driver also was injured and is expected to recover.
