Three cheers for the Lewiston High School chorus. I had a great time when I went to the Pops Concert April 2. I liked “Broken Empire,” a jazzy group with guitars and drums. It made me want to dance to the jazzy beat; to get moving and grooving.

I think it would take a lot of courage to get up on stage and sing alone, but there were several solos and the students did very well, singing like professionals.

The chorus was amazing and even surprised all of us with a round of “Happy Birthday” to Mr. Avery.

The Women’s Chorus sounded beautiful. Avery worked so hard with his students, getting them ready for the concert and it paid off.

Bravo.
