Tuesday, April 16

AUBURN — Special City Council workshop and regular meeting (make up meeting for April 15). Workshop begins at 5:30 p.m.; regular meeting at 7 p.m.

LEWISTON — City Council budget workshop, 6 p.m., City Hall. Topics include general government, protective inspections and recreation department budgets. Workshop will be followed by a 7 p.m. regular meeting. Topics at the regular meeting include a public hearing on the proposed budget.

Thursday, April 18

LEWISTON — Great Falls Forum, noon in the Public Library, featuring Frances Perkins: Lessons from a Maine Resident and ‘New Deal Leader.’

LEWISTON — City Council budget workshop, 6 p.m. City Hall. Topics include social services and debt budgets.

AUBURN — Meet and greet author Lloyd Ferriss, 6 p.m. at the Public Library to discuss “Harry Stump: Maine’s Psychic Sculptor.”
