AUBURN — Isabelle M. Lebel, 87, a resident of Seville Place, Lewiston, died early Sunday, April 14, at the Hospice House following a short illness.
She was born in Hopedale, Mass., June 5, 1925, the daughter of Harry and S. Dorothy (Moran) Cote.
Isabelle was a 1943 graduate of Lewiston High School, and was employed as an office clerk at the credit union of the former Hill Mill and Porteous Department Store. Following her retirement, she enjoyed keeping in touch with the girls with whom she worked at Porteous in Auburn.
Her family was very important to her especially her grandchildren and loved social times with friends. She especially loved hosting family holidays.
She was a parishioner of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish at Sacred Heart Church. Her hobbies included golf and bowling and was a member of both the Martindale and Fairlawn country clubs in Auburn.
Survivors include three daughters, Karyn Lebel and husband, Sandy Nisbet, of Minot, Nancy Ezhaya and husband, David, of Windham and Patricia Lebel and husband, Bill Rogers, of Portland; two sisters, Jean Cote of Lewiston and Joan Lepage and husband, Charles, of Rumford; three grandchildren, Nicholas Nisbet of Denver, Colo., Monica Ezhaya of Portland and Luke Lebel Rogers of Portland; and two great-grandchildren, Pearl Flynn and Ryder Nisbet.
Isabelle was predeceased by her husband, Oscar Lebel, Oct. 10, 2010.
