LEWISTON — Gerald Albert Dionne, 59, passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, April 11, at 5:45 a.m.

Gerry was born in Biddeford, July 2, 1953. He graduated from Lewiston High School in 1971. He worked as a bouncer for the Roundhouse, where he met his wife, Claire of 35 years. He worked as a security guard for Northeast Bank and in various positions at the local hospitals.

Gerry enjoyed spending time with his family, BBQ’s, watching the Patriots with his son, David, jazz and country music, family vacations to Disney World and his favorite cat, OJ.

Gerry is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife, Claire; his son, David of Mechanic Falls; daughter, Nicole and fiancee, Jamie, of Lewiston; brother, Marc and his wife, Sue, of Topsham; mother-in-law, Anita Rivard of Lewiston; sisters-in-law, Joanne Lavoie of Mechanic Falls, Judy Llodra and husband, Joe, of Jupiter, Fla., and Donna Abellanida and husband, Al, of Hawaii; and several nieces and nephews.

“Gerry” was predeceased by his mother, Olive; his father, Albert; and his father-in-law, Victor Rivard.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Godara, Dr. Kahn and Dr. Burke and the ICU staff at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and Dr. Smith and the staff at Poland Family Practice.
